SUBJECT: Mandatory Use of Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) Wave 1 IT Field Services for Enterprise IT Devices Contract
The EITaaS Risk Reduction Effort (RRE) demonstrated the benefit of the “as a service” model for delivery of standardized, innovative, and agile Information Technology Services across the Department of the Air Force (DAF). The EITaaS Wave 1 acquisition scales key lessons learned from RRE and enables key DAF priorities.
Our collective success in this initiative depends on full DAF participation. All local IT Field Service contracts must transition task orders providing help desk and field services for NIPR and SIPR enterprise devices to the EITaaS Wave 1 contract at their end of their current Period of Performance. Contract Officers managing local IT Field Service contracts will contact the AFLCMC/HNIT EITaaS Org Box (AFLCMC.HNIT.EITaaSOrgBox@us.af.mil) to coordinate current and future contract actions. Deviations and exemptions must be authorized and approved by ACC Cyber Lead Command, A6O (ACC.A6O.OperationsDivision@us.af.mil).
This approach streamlines the ability of DRU/FLDCOM/ MAJCOM/bases to acquire services and enables centralized coordination of vulnerability patching and IT service management.
